Advancing health solutions through technologies: Supporting health, research and innovation ecosystem from UK-Thailand partnerships

The UK and Thailand has long collaborated across a diverse range of programmes, from technical assistance and knowledge exchanges, research partnerships, to technology transfer, leading to the development of new solutions to respond to national health challenges, and support the growth of Health and Life Sciences as one of the key sectors in both countries.

Such innovative solutions, including application of new technologies such as AI, require a suitable mechanism and infrastructure where international academics and experts can collaborate flexibly, new technologies to be shared, and where funding partners can co-develop mutually beneficial programmes. In 2025, the two nations celebrate the 170th diplomatic relationship, which also spans across public health and health research sector that supported in advancing the frontiers in genomics and precision medicine, and infectious diseases.

This side meeting will explore the critical factors to develop ongoing partnerships that enable innovation, discussing on past and current partnerships as case studies.
