Exploring the PM2.5 Trader Concept: Accountability and Technological Innovations for Air Quality and Health

PM 2.5 is an important global health seriously affecting Southeast Asia. While there are various attempts to campaign and control the problems, in this Side Meeting, we will focus on Technological Innovation to monitor accountability of the land owners in agricultural and foresty sectors and come up with exploration for PM2.5 Trader (Debit) Concept.

The Side Meeting will start with reviewing the current trend of PM2.5 pollution in SE Asia, its health impact and the efforts to control so far. This will be followed by the feasibility of monitoring of PM2.5 emission in a BigData systems which can disclose real-time and cumulative emission in all landscapes. The session will further lead to discussion of relaization process toword "the polluters must pay" concept, which include economics, political science and law dimensions.

Post PMAC 2025 activities will be persued by the network of this Side Meeting organizers.

The objectives of this meeting include:

  • to share information on current trend of PM 2.5 problems and the health consequentces
  • to discuss available technological innovation to monitor PM 2.5 emission from the landscape Big Data
  • to discuss the feasibility of realization of "the polluters must pay" based on economics, political sciences and law dimensions.
