This session will dive into multiple specific use cases where AI has been integrated in health programing and the learning to date. It will align closely with PMAC 2025 Sub-theme 1: Technological Innovations to Strengthen Health Systems and Achieve UHC as well as Sub-theme 2: Equity, Ethics, and Empowering the Vulnerable.

Cases likely to be featured include:
- The use of AI and digital health approaches to improve quality of HIV programs and ultimately health outcomes, including through a demo solution using large language models (LLMs) to generate insights from unstructured datasets and reports from HIV Community Led Monitoring (CLM) programs, and a  Data Anomaly Detection algorithmic solution aimed at enhancing USAID HIV Data Quality Assurance through the use of algorithmic solutions.

- An activity in Indonesia aimed at improving the availability of  antituberculosis drugs through AI-driven forecasting.

- Discussion of AI-integrated health activities by USAID in India to support the TB care cascade and Global Health Security. Presenters will share a proposed framework for analysis of proposed AI investments in health developed from these experiences. The USAID/India experience will also explore global validation pathways of AI clinical tools, technology transfer of AI products to local stakeholders, and risk mitigation.

Participants in this session can expect to learn from the example use cases including the type of technical assistance countries are requesting, how they were selected for AI integration, challenges and learnings from implementation, equity and ethical considerations, as well as recommendations for future efforts integrating AI in health programming.
