International Health Policy Foundation (IHPF) has been a driving force behind sustainable development in Thai society for over five years. Its approach emphasizes experiential learning and practical implementation while focusing on three key areas:

1. Establishing Learning Communities in Thailand
The foundation has created platforms for knowledge exchange at both local and national levels. Currently, 14 collaborative learning spaces have been established across the country, fostering community engagement and shared growth.

2. Driving Policy and Social Change
The foundation actively compiles and presents reports on Thailand’s sustainable development along with policy recommendations to drive systemic change and address pressing societal needs.

3. Empowering Individuals, Networks, and Environments
A key focus lies in strengthening the capabilities of individuals, organizational networks, and environmental systems to build a sustainable and resilient society.

In addition to these pillars, the foundation emphasizes cross-sectoral integration, bridging grassroots learning with national policy to create systemic and lasting impacts.

To guide its mission, the foundation relies on the Strategic Advisory Group for “Well-being & Sustainable Development.” This group provides expert advice, policy recommendations, and strategic direction. The advisory group meets quarterly and currently comprises seven distinguished members, officially appointed during a meeting on January 14, 2021:

Professor Emeritus Dr. Rajata Rajatanawin (Chair)
Dr. Suwit Wibulpolprasert
Dr. Thaweesak Koanantakool
Dr. Suvit Maesincee
Khunying Kasama Varavarn Na Ayudhya
Dr. Supakit Sirilak
Dr. Sampan Silapanad

Key Roles of the Advisory Group:

  • Providing guidance to accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs).
  • Supporting initiatives that leverage social and intellectual capital for sustainable progress.
  • Promoting leadership and capacity-building among stakeholders involved in sustainable development.
  • Strengthening networks related to sustainable development in Thailand.

.
To exchange proposals and seek guidance on advancing sustainable development in Thai society, the Advisory Group for Well-being and Sustainable Development meeting was held.

In addition, current sustainable development efforts recognize the importance of integrating both external development (SDGs) and internal development (IDGs, Inner Development Goals) in a harmonious manner. To support this vision, the Global Conversations: Navigating Sustainable Futures through Inner Development Workshop was organized. The workshop aimed  foster knowledge and understanding of inner development goals while providing a platform for exchanging ideas on sustainable development approaches.

Through these efforts, IHPF continues to pave the way for a sustainable future, fostering resilience and well-being across all sectors of Thai society.

1. To seek advice, recommendations, and guidance on driving sustainable development in Thailand.

2. To build knowledge and understanding of the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), fostering discussions on the development and implementation of IDGs.
